Lucknow, April 15 : Around 15,000 students, parents and teachers arrived here today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium to derive inspiration from children’s educational films from 104 countries at the 12th International Children’s Film Festival (ICFF-2023) being held here.  Ahead of this, the 6th day of ICFF-2023 began with lighting the lamp ceremony. On this occasion, Actress Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva and Actor Mr Varun Badola motivated the students to see good children’s films. Addressing the gathering, Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva, actress, said that the festival is great not only because of the number of films and number of children seeing them, but also for the values being imparted through the children’s films which add weightage to the festival.

            Actress Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva and Actor Mr Varun Badola met the journalists at a press conference held here this afternoon at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, actress Ms Rajeshwari said that everything cannot be learnt from books, but the educational films of various countries that children see in this festival have various shades of life that will help children in making correct judgements and good choices. Actor Mr Varun Badola was pleased that educational films of various nations were being shown here which inculcate new ideas and innovative thinking among the young generation. Chairman of the Children’s Film Festival, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, said that this festival was truly significant as it inspires the students, especially youth, to learn about character building and universal values.
