Lucknow, 4 October : Another CMS student has climbed the ladder of success winning first prize in National Spell Bee Competition, thus bringing laurels to her school. Palak Verma, of Class X, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II proved her talent in Wiz National Spell Bee Competition racing ahead of others with her mastery over the English Language – its spellings and pronunciation. She was adjudged the best, being well adept with the nuances of the language and confident in her approach. A grand function was held to give away the prizes at which Palak was awarded a certificate, medal, trophy and cash prize of Rs 10,000/- (ten thousand rupees) by the organizers. CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi expressed his heartfelt joy and happiness at the success of his student, Palak Verma and wished her well in her future endeavours. He congratulated the Senior Principal, Ms M. Batra and Principal, Mrs S. Bannerji and all the teachers who had taught Palak. Mr Sharma stated that students of various schools and colleges of the country had participated in this contest of words and spellings. Amidst fierce competition, Palak had emerged the winner. The mega final round tested the knowledge of English language, spellings, grammar and puzzle solving capacity, phonetics, pronunciation, and word rhyming, jumbled letters of the participating students. Crossing all hurdles and racing ahead of others, Palak reached her goal and won first prize with her excellent display of skills at All India level. She is well poised to become an international contestant and win many more accolades in the near future. Mr Sharma further said that CMS is making efforts to impart the highest quality of education in Hindi as well as English. Recognizing the needs of this scientific age, it is training the students to develop a scientific temper and global outlook. With these efforts, the school is forging ahead as the premier educational institution in the country, its students earning national and international honour.
