Lucknow, 23 July : City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I organized its Annual Parents’ Day at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium with great eagerness and pride. On this occasion, the students who had secured 99% and above marks in ISC and ICSE Board Exams this year were especially honoured with cash prizes. Tanishq Sonkar, who had secured second rank at All India Level in ISC Board Exam 2023 and Nitant Tripathi and Tanisha Srivastava who had both secured All India 5th position in ICSE Board exam with 99% marks each were honoured with prize cheques of Rs. One lakh individually. On this occasion, the mothers of the three mertorious students were honoured by weighing them in fruits and flowers while the fathers and teacher-guardians were presented with Shawls of Honour.
Earlier, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Gandhi said that CMS is devoted to making children ideal citizens of the society. We aim at students’ total development, develop their positive thinking and channelize their energy towards social uplift. Such programmes play a significant role in the child’s all-round development. She urged the parents to provide moral and spiritual atmosphere to children.
The function began with ‘All Religion Prayer’ and ‘World Peace Prayer’ spreading the message of World Peace and Divine Unity. Different types of folk music, singing and dancing, skits, action song, elocution, choreography and qawwali etc. won huge applause from the audience who were all praise for the wonderful presentations of children. On this occasion, CMS students called for World Peace and World Unity through several educational-cultural programmes and brought to the fore, the importance of formation of a global society through presentation of a World Parliament.
Senior Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Mrs Jayashree Krishnan said that values instilled in childhood shape the personality of a person. CMS endeavours to make every child a light of the world. She expressed heartfelt gratitude towards parents for taking interest in school activities.
