Grand inauguration of four-day International Reflections-2023 at CMS

Lucknow, 5 August : The 4-day International Festival of History and Civics ‘Reflections-2023’  organized by City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus was ceremoniously inaugurated this evening at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Mrs Namrata Pathak, wife of Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Brajesh Pathak inaugurated the International Reflections-2023 by lighting the lamp of learning as the Chief Guest.  The presence of student teams from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and various states of the India on the occasion added charm to the celebrations. At this grand function, the meritorious ISC and ICSE toppers of CMS Mahanagar, who had secured  99% and above marks in ISC and ICSE Board Examinations 2023, were honoured and awarded cash prizes of Rs One Lakh each. The students who were felicitated on this occasion included Ashish Shukla, Sakinah Hasan, Utkarsh Gupta, Ananya Sanghi, Shreyas Rai, Janhvi Mishra and Astha Shukla. Thus, a total of 7 ISC and ICSE meritorious students were honoured with prize-cheques totalling Rs 7 lakh for their astounding achievements in the Board Exams this year. On this occasion, CMS students presented a series of educational-cultural items winning the hearts of one and all. It is worth mentioning here that ‘Reflections-2023’ is being organized from 5 to 8 August at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium in which approximately 500 students of various countries are participating.

            Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mrs Namrata Pathak, praised CMS highly and said that this international festival will provide a common platform to the students of various countries to develop bonds of fraternity, love, tolerance and brotherhood. In his address, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi expressed hope that this festival will prove to be a new milestone in teaching the younger generation about World Unity and World Peace. CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that this festival will provide an opportunity to students from different countries to express their views on an international platform. Convenor of ‘Reflections-2023’ and Principal of CMS Mahanagar Campus, Dr Kalpana Tripathi said that the interesting competitions of Reflection-2023 will not only enhance the knowledge of the students, but they will also get to know each other’s culture and civilization and develop mutual understanding.
