Lucknow, 6 May: City Montessori School organized a grand ‘Teachers Thanksgiving Function’ today at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium to honour its hardworking and dedicated teachers. Chief Guest of the function, Shri Surya Pal Gangwar, IAS, District Magistrate, Lucknow, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering of teachers on this occasion, Shri Gangwar said that CMS teachers are totally dedicated to bringing about the all-round development of students and are worthy of the highest praise. Teachers are the source of inspiration and motivation for the students and it is they who bear the responsibility of creating a noble society by educating the children and youth with high ideals and character-building qualities. He called upon the students to pay full respect to their teachers. Mr Gangwar further said that CMS is preparing the students for life by strengthening them both from inside and outside and making them ready for the future challenges. For this, he congratulated the school’s Founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi heartily. He said that they are the role models for the students as they work day and night for their welfare and education.
At this grand function, CMS Founders and renowned educationists, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi extended heartfelt gratitude towards the devoted teachers of the institution. On this occasion, Dr Jagdish Gandhi gave detailed information about the glorious achievements of CMS throughout the year. Speaking on this occasion, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that the outstanding CMS teachers have left no stone unturned to make their students virtuous and noble. Due to their devotion and hard work, CMS students are constantly bringing laurels to Lucknow in the field of education. CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi expressed the hope that each child would become a brilliant star and bring name and fame to his parents, his family and the school. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon threw light upon the New Education Policy of the Government of India saying that today’s need was to create World Citizens, bring about profound changes and shape the destiny of the human race for a better tomorrow. Teachers must teach their subjects and also impart noble ideas to their students that lead to a better race of mankind. She said that students must not only acquire academic excellence but also be trained emotionally and psychologically and imbued with good moral values. They must become agents of profound and peaceful changes in society. Ahead of it, the Head of CMS Quality Assurance and Innovation Department and Superior Principal, Ms Susmita Ghose welcomed the invited guests and dignitaries at the function. A series of educational-cultural items mesmerized one and all on this occasion which was presented by the teachers and students of various CMS Campuses. Musical play ‘Aladdin’, Prayer Dance, Sufi song, Qawwali etc. won the hearts of audience. Presentation of World Parliament on the theme ‘Family Unity’ was also appreciated. The teaser of the Vision 2025 conference was also shown before the 3000 strong audience of teachers.
